Hiking in the Eiffel

Last weekend, my family and I went on a trip to the Eifel (mountains), which is about an hour away from our home by car. The area is incredibly beautiful and it great for hiking and taking photographs, both of which I took full advantage of on this trip as part of CAS.
The hiking trail that we chose to take has three options: either you walk all the way there and take a boat back down the river, take a boat up the river and walk back or just to walk to the end and back. We decided to go for the first option, partly because the trail is long in itself, but also because the boat has some of the best views.
For the photography aspect of the trip, I felt overloaded with opportunities of photos to take. At times, I found myself staying behind to capture the perfect angle of a flower and having to catch up with my family lat later on. I also managed to snatch a few shots of my sister in a huge bright yellow field.
Swimming with dolphins (1)

As part of our trip to Mauritius, we decided that we couldn't visit the island without going to swim with the wild dolphins. We did a lot of swimming in the villa pool that we had access to and I managed to do at least 50 laps a day, but nothing compared to the carefree feeling of swimming in the huge ocean with wild dolphins. The water was so clear that we could see what felt like miles around us.
We took a boat out to the area where the dolphins were most likely to be and waited until we saw some movement in the water. I was ready to jump in at any time. After a few minutes of waiting we noticed a huge group of dolphins swimming right under out boat. The 'instructors' told us to jump in and swim with them. We were told to swim in the same direction as the dolphins so that they would not notice us.
When I hit the water, the first thing I noticed was the cold that surrounded me. Then I remembered that I was there to swim with dolphins and I dived down to see where they were. As soon as I spotted them, I broke out into my best crawl and swam towards them. Swimming in the ocean full of current, while avoiding stationary boats and following after dolphins proved to be much harder than it looked. On top of that, I was using an underwater camera to take pictures of the dolphins. I could feel myself getting tired and by the time I was ready to get back on the boat, which must have been around 40 minutes later, my legs could barely lift me up the ladder.
