Hiking in the Eiffel

Friday, 19 August 2016

Last weekend, my family and I went on a trip to the Eifel (mountains), which is about an hour away from our home by car. The area is incredibly beautiful and it great for hiking and taking photographs, both of which I took full advantage of on this trip as part of CAS.

The hiking trail that we chose to take has three options: either you walk all the way there and take a boat back down the river, take a boat up the river and walk back or just to walk to the end and back. We decided to go for the first option, partly because the trail is long in itself, but also because the boat has some of the best views.

For the photography aspect of the trip, I felt overloaded with opportunities of photos to take. At times, I found myself staying behind to capture the perfect angle of a flower and having to catch up with my family lat later on. I also managed to snatch a few shots of my sister in a huge bright yellow field.
